Rhyece O'Neill & Kristy Brown creators of Sub Continental Dub

“How many times will our generation witness not just the emergence of a song or a band, but a whole new genre, a crossover of styles that shatters the barriers of perceptions that lie between what we hear, think and feel?”

- Claire Maddocks / Blogger / Reviewer

“It is with piqued curiosity that we await new material from the only label currently pushing Australian Dubstep talent. Big up”

- In The Mix

Sub Continental Dub is an Australian electronic label specialising in quality underground beats, established to help combat the void that has emerged in South Pacific bass music. Founded by music industry insider Kristy Brown along with Sydney producer Rhyece O’Neill AKA Westernsynthetics, the ethos of the label is simple – to showcase emerging and established experimental producers from the depths of the South Pacific, and to provide international opportunities and connections.

Sub Continental Dub enjoys continued support from Gilles Peterson from BBC Radio 1, Australian youth radio network triple j as well as the country’s community radio stations, renowned dance music websites like inthemix and Resident Advisor, quality music events like the Rainbow Serpent Festival, Big Day Out and Peats Ridge Festival, as well as prevalent Australian underground crews Void, Foreign Dub and Bass High.

Sub Continental Dub is distributed internationally by renowned UK imprint Cargo Records.
