“Digging the Workers dub, squidgy bass extremo, nice.”

- Ben Irving (Nish Nish / 365Mag /Pulse Radio / Electric Sheep / London Various)

“Really great track. Beautiful production. I will support.”

- Simon Caldwell (FBI Radio / Mad Racket)

“Really feeling The Machine and its varied influences, the vocals work really well too. Deep and original business from Westernsynthetics as per usual!”

- 3rdeye (SCD / TWU)

“This is just quality electronic music bizness on all fronts. I love the grimy and grittiness of 90909, the rolling bass in Workers Dub and everything about The Machine. Much Respect.”

- LR Records

“The Machine is a quality fusion of different styles… A forward thinking shuffle lent from Techno and an infectious vocal.”

- John Dawson (Big Up Magazine)

- Simon Hampson (Symbiosis)

“Cool dubstep stuff, support it.”

- Josef Sedlon (Radio 1 Prague)

- DJ Connecto (BPM Magazine)

“Nice release! Any sensible DJ out there will place this in their chill out bag for those early morning sessions. Has a truly antipodean feel to it, the clean 90s synth sounds remind me of Midnight Oil and Shreikback. This will sit nicely alongside Four Tet, Pitch Black and Joy Orbison.”

- Isaac Tucker (Spektrum)

“Westernsynthetics can do no wrong. It’s the A-side for me.”

- Matt Unicomb (Resident Advisor)

“The Machine is so good!”

Kiki (DJ / Producer)

“There’s some seriously crisp production at play here across each of the tracks. The Machine references current trends in broken beat with a neat twist but I do get into 90909 most of all thanks to that epic build. Lush stuff.”

- Daniel Sanders (SPA – Street Press Australia)

“Holy crap! Normally not a sound I’m into but the emotion of The Machine is captivating. Top marks.”

- George Sadlik (Junkbeats)

“OMG! Fantastic collection! There is no bad track… My favourite is The Machine, amazing feeling, so close to Peter Gabriel!”

Myclick (Techno.cz / Radio 1)

“The Machine is my favourite here. The voice is Depeche Mode-esque and the atmosphere is mysteriously peaceful and hypnotic!”

- Silky JacK (Beef Records)

From voidsound.com …

DEADBEAT is considered as one the best Live techno acts around and on Friday July 23rd he come back to the Phoenix Bar to show us why he is so highly regarded.

It was February 2009 when Berlin producer DEADBEAT was last in the country and on that night VOIDwitnessed over 600 punters attend a double international bill of epic proportion, that of DEADBEAT andRUSKO. Many say that DEADBEAT blew RUSKO out of the water that night and whilst both styles were distinctly different, one thing is for certain, the vibe DEABEAT set up during his performance has been matched perhaps only by SHACKLETON’S performance earlier this year. His set that night was one which hypnotised the audience with towering bass, emotive sound scapes, complex rhythmic patterns and a multitude of intriguing samples and synths.

DEADBEAT is a master craftsman of genre defying electronic dance music. With a unique sound alternating within the territory between dub, techno, dancehall and Dubstep, DEADBEAT is without doubt one of electronic music’s premier low-end prophets. He has been releasing his own special blend of dub laden, minimal electronics since 2000 which is considered by many as modern bass music of an entirely unique sort, crafted with the intention of moving asses as much as stimulating minds. Since his last visit in early 2009 DEADBEAT has released various EP’s and remixes as well as the critically acclaimed RADIO ROTHKO compilation.

To top this night off we launch the latest release by one of Sydney’s most unique producers – WESTERNSYNTHETICS. The latest release from WS, ”The Machine” is out now on Sub Continental Duband we expect look forward to his debut album to dropping in the coming months. All this is complimented by an amazing selection of local DJ’s taking it into all areas of Techno, Dubstep and Electronica, includingVOID & INDEX resident MARK PRITCHARD, the mighty SUB BASS SNARL (who were absolutely amazing at their last gig with Shackleton), SOFIE LOIZOU and PRIZE bringing some space in the place and the hottest DJ on the Dubstep scene right now, SWINDLE.

From Clone records: “Bvdub and Sofie Loizou are two passioned artists who have a special collaboration on this Southern Outpost offshoot! Sofie Loizou is at the forefront of the electronic music scene in Australia and Brock Van Wey (bvdub)is one of America’s most prolific electronical artists known for his excellent deep house and dubby techno releases! The EP is evocative and wistful, enveloping the listener in a dream state. The two made an equisite piece of lush ambient techno with vocals of the Polish Natalia Grosiak (produced by Polish sound artist Dawid Szczesny). The combination of Natalia’s enchanting vocals and exquisite textural sound beds creates a sublime experience of blissful melancholy. This is a highly limited run of only 200 copies… yeah we know.. it’s crazy to have a Bvdub collaboration this limited… but its just a fun project of Southern Outpost and friends! Don’t sleep!”

Chect out the radical nature site to buy this limited 10″

Durham White (Beef Records)
love it… Shameless in Seattle, a little dark, a little twisted, a little eerie & yet funky & all just the start of too great an adventure… Wannado reaches out with a nice tribal vocal full of spirit… the originals get the thumbs up from me!
Peter Babusak (dj / producer)
Shameless In Seattle works best for me.
Adam Stone (stoneykun DIGITAL)
This reminds me of the Dub scene in Kingston during the mid 90s.. A highly nostaligic moment was had on track 2. Great blend of contemporary dub and retro electronic flavours!
DJ Schwa (Shades of Gray) (BEEF records)
Wannado for me… already played at radio Dj Prague. will give it some more spins very soon! gotta love deepchilds musical illness.
Sebastian Bayne (Kisu/Beef/IF?/Cliq)
Deepchild seems more at home with these mixes, great job. Westernsynthetics remix stands alone somewhere in the nether regions! Please send more – 4/5
spaceboss
wannado is killer track!
Dusan Kacarevic
Wannado is great track and will be huge !
Shameless in Seattle is interesting tune for my radio show appearance .
Arjun Vagale (Frisky/Proton/Vapour/beef/ Maktub)
Gravious remix is slick !
Sebastian Davidson (World Wide DJ)
Shameless in Seattle is da holy bomb!
Mike Callander (Haul Music, Melbourne)
FUCK YEAH! This EP is incredible. Deepchild production is always on the money, but this is really something special. Both original versions will get a thrashing from me. Thanks!
Isaac Tucker (Spektrum U.K., Filthy Dukes Live)
Wannado is the track for me, both origional and remix are doing it…Will definately incorperate these into my current set. Dancable but to too heavy with good hooks.
